Entry qualifications are usually a first or good upper second class degree in History or a closely related field, or a recognised equivalent from an accredited overseas institution.

The School's language requirement for students whose first language is not English is normally a 7.0 IELTS score or equivalent.

The deadline for receipt of MA applications is 31st August if you wish to start in that same year. Applicants wishing to be considered for a Queen Mary bursary should refer to our funding pages, and UK and EU applicants applying for AHRC funding, must apply in good time to meet the College internal deadline.
