Quentin Skinner awarded Bielefelder Wissenschaftspreis 2008
Professor Quentin Skinner has been awarded the Bielefeld Science Prize in honour of his work on political philosophy, for which he is internationally renowned. Professor Skinner is the third recipient of the Bielefelder Wissenschaftspreis, the major German academic prize in the social sciences. It is awarded biannually by the University of Bielefeld, in cooperation with the city of Bielefeld, in memory of Professor Niklas Luhmann, one of Germany’s most prominent sociologists.
Professor Skinner will be presented with the award at a ceremony on 30 January 2009, at the University of Bielefeld.
